Home care is an increasingly preferred alternative to being admitted to hospitals or residential facilities. Pinewoods Homecare understand first-hand the benefits of receiving care and support at home and being looked after through a care program that has been tailored to the individual’s specific needs.
Whatever the individual needs may be, Pinewoods Homecare provide 24 hour support, 365 days a year, that allows adults in need of support to remain at home with dignity and the comfort of familiar surroundings.
We have over 30 years experience providing care in the local community in a residential setting through our sister care homes Locharwoods (Formby and Birkdale). We understand though that residential care is not for everyone which is why we want to utilise our knowledge and experience in the community.
We are not a franchise! We are a locally run company with someone on the end of the phone 24/7 365 days a year.
We offer a bespoke person centred service whereby YOU tell us what YOU want and not the other way around.
We will match our clients with a carer/team member based on shared interests and experience. If at any point you feel that this match isn’t working we are happy to change at any time.
We don’t do 15 minute visits! Our preferred minimum visit time is one hour but we will work with you to devise a schedule that is suitable for you ensuring it fits around your lifestyle.
We carry out regular quality assurance visits and phonecalls as well as spot checks to make sure that we always provide the highest quality service.
We are fully insured.
Hello, I am Ruth. I have worked in Health and Social Care for over 20 years. However, nothing prepared me for having to care for my grandma in her last few weeks of life, a lady who held my heart sadly deteriorated before my eyes. Caring for those you love takes strength, patience, and time, I was lucky enough to have these but for those with families working or raising their own children time is not something that comes easily. I wanted Pinewoods Homecare to be an extension of the family, a trusted source that will reduce the worry and give those that need care and support the tools to continue to live the life they choose too.
My intention has been to make sure that the people living in Southport and the surrounding areas had access to the sort of care and support that I was able to provide my Grandma. Where they could be sure that whoever was selected to support them, would be someone who shares my commitment to improving care for all. With this in mind, all of our care workers are fully trained, extensively vetted and are fully supported at all times by the office. When selecting new team members we make sure that they can evidence that they will be reliable, caring honest people who will only ever provide you with the sort of care that passes the test – if I would let them care for my family member then I will happily support you to become a great caregiver.
We know that deciding to invite someone into your home and accept care support can be a worrying and sometimes stressful experience. We will always ensure that you remain in full control and that your care is delivered in a way you choose it to be. We will also make sure that we learn from your feedback and experiences and that you are involved in helping us to improve and shape our business for now and in the future, so we can always ensure that we can provide a flexible service, that easily adapts to your needs.
We offer a range of support from helping with your day-to-day domestic tasks, grocery shopping, meal preparation, getting out and about, and being part of the local community, to all aspects of your care. Including any complex care or, end-of-life care needs you may have. We are also here to support those closest to you, as we understand the practical, physical, and often emotional challenges faced when caring for a loved one at home.
