Providing care and support for people in their own homes

Home care is an increasingly preferred alternative to being admitted to hospitals or residential facilities. Pinewoods Homecare understand first-hand the benefits of receiving care and support at home and being looked after through a care program that has been tailored to the individual’s specific needs.

Whatever the individual needs may be, Pinewoods Homecare provide 24 hour support, 365 days a year, that allows adults in need of support to remain at home with dignity and the comfort of familiar surroundings.

We have over 30 years experience providing care in the local community in a residential setting through our sister care homes Locharwoods (Formby and Birkdale). We understand though that residential care is not for everyone which is why we want to utilise our knowledge and experience in the community.

We are not a franchise! We are a locally run company with someone on the end of the phone 24/7 365 days a year.

We offer a bespoke person centred service whereby YOU tell us what YOU want and not the other way around.

We will match our clients with a carer/team member based on shared interests and experience. If at any point you feel that this match isn’t working we are happy to change at any time.

We don’t do 15 minute visits! Our preferred minimum visit time is one hour but we will work with you to devise a schedule that is suitable for you ensuring it fits around your lifestyle.

We carry out regular quality assurance visits and phonecalls as well as spot checks to make sure that we always provide the highest quality service.

We are fully insured.

Meet the team:

Laura Haseman

With over 20 years experience in the Care sector, Laura has worked in residential, nursing and domiciliary care. Laura holds a Bsc Hons Psychology degree as well as QCF Level 4 in Health and Social Care and in Care Management. Laura has worked as a carer, domestic, deputy manager and registered manager so understands all aspects of what it takes to provide quality care.

She is passionate about providing a bespoke personal service and believes in being a responsive, hands on manager.  From her vast experience she saw that there was a need for a more personal bespoke service created BY the client instead of FOR the client taking a more holistic approach to supporting a person and to enhance their life. She feels you are never to old to try new things and with the right support, anything is achievable!

We accept Direct Payments

“A Direct Payment is a payment that allows you to organise care services yourself, enabling you to choose the services that are appropriate to your needs as set out in your Support Plan.  Some people use the money to buy care from an agency whilst others will directly employ their own staff.

The aim of a Direct Payment is to give more choice in how services are provided to individuals who are assessed as eligible for Social Care support.

By giving the individuals money in place of social care services people have a greater choice and control over their lives, and are able to make their own decisions over how their care is delivered.”

If you would like further information on Direct Payments, please contact the Direct Payments Team at Sefton Carers Centre. Tel: 0151 288 6060.

The Direct Payments Team are based at Sefton Carers Centre, 27-37 South Road, Waterloo. L22 5R”
